This is my first Google Gadget. It lets you see some useful system performance information at a glance. Clicking the small button at the lower right will change the background color (a la the Google Analog clock gadget). It also includes the time and date, so if you have another clock gadget you could remove it to save some sidebar space. When the CPU usage is greater than 90%, the text will turn red so that you can start to panic. Similarly for the Disk Busy when it is more than 50%. The Network In and Out stats are handy for seeing at a glance how much of your corporate bandwidth you're sucking up while downloading MP3's.
If you collapse it, it will show the time and the CPU usage in the Gadget's title area. You can also resize it by using the Zoom option in the gadget menu.
I plan to add other features when I have time; for example, I wanted to have a small historical graph of the CPU usage. I tried to make a transparent windowless ActiveX control for that, but it seems that possibly the Google ActiveX container doesn't support tranparency properly (or, just as likely, I couldn't figure out how to get it to work).
