Welcome Students! We will create a collective website here as a class project to explore and expand upon our understanding of U.S. history. Our learning goal is to demonstrate an understanding of multiple historical perspectives, particularly the voices of those that have been oppressed or marginalized in textbook history. To begin this site, I have created a unit to introduce to you to a variety of internet sources on this topic, and help you develop your critical web literacy skills. You will follow a series of six interactive lessons here on this website, and soon you will actually contribute as an author to this page with your own original research and writing. Let's begin with Lesson One. You will receive instructions from me in class when to return to explore the continuing assignments, but feel free to browse ahead. For each assignment, you will post the work you have done in the comments section at the bottom of the lesson. You are also invited to post comments with your feedback on the assignment and reflections on your learning. |
