Gandhi-in-Action was founded in 1984, and is composed of an international group of nonviolent activists based in New Delhi. 

Founding and leading this group is Dr. Arya Bhushan Bhardwaj, who has traveled to 26 countries around the world for promoting the Gandhian way of life. Dr. Bhardwaj has authored 13 books and contributed more than one hundred articles in various news papers and journals in India and abroad. Three of his books have been translated into Italian, German and Japanese. 

Dr. Bhardwaj has been invited 50 times by the various universities and international organizations in US, UK, Europe, Scandinavia, USSR & Japan to conduct courses on Gandhi, non-violence, Ayurveda, Yoga and Indian Philosophy. Dr. Bhardwaj founded center for study and research on Alternative Medicine in 1984.

 "Think Positively Act Locally and Live Globally"
