Galaxy
Youth Art Performing Group is a non-profit organization established in
2004. It is based in Orange County, CA. The group is formed by eight
young Chinese Americans who are devoted in promoting traditional
Chinese music and art performance to Chinese Americans as well as
introducing the joy and beauty of Chinese culture to the western world.
Currently the group has over 20 youngsters committed to participating
cultural events and providing community services to various societies.
They believe music and art performances are beyond boundaries of all
kind and can enrich lives with wonderful enjoyments. Our young
performers are passionate and multi-talented with age ranging from 5 to
15. Each of them plays more than one musical instruments. Some of them
have high level of vocal skills and dancing techniques. All of them
enjoy presenting their unique talents and bringing happiness to
assorted communities. They spent their spare time performing for many
senior homes and community centers during the past year. Their
marvelous performances have won tremendous praises and two times
special interview on TV program: LA living with Juliette on KSCI
channel 18. The founder and art director, Yu-Ning Pu, is a
recognized professional musician from China. He has won many
championships in national music competition in China. He is specialized
in various Chinese wind and string musical instruments. Mr. Pu's past
experience with China's famous Yan-Tai Musical Performing Group enables
him to instruct the youngsters more efficiently and assist them to
achieve higher level of expertise. Mr. Pu has been promoting this group
to fulfill a goal that traditional Chinese music and art forms should
be enjoyed and appreciated by people around the world. Galaxy
Youth Art Performing Group welcomes all parties interested in exploring
Chinese culture, learning opportunities, and sponsoring performances.

藝
術團成立之宗旨在于籍由音樂及藝術來促進中西方文化之交流﹐更為提倡海外青少年對民族音樂的欣賞及學習興趣﹐並多方面提供社區文藝服務。銀河少年藝術團是
南加州唯一的青少年樂團﹐相信也是全美唯一的青少年國樂團體。每位團員均精通兩種以上的中西樂器﹐部份團員更具有高超的歌唱水平及專業舞蹈經驗。銀河少年
藝術團多次受邀上 KSCI-TV 18 臺“今日洛城” 電視節目及華人工商大展演出﹐並踴躍參加各地慈善團體的義演﹐皆深 受
廣大觀眾的喜愛。
銀河少年藝術團由知名國樂演奏家蒲玉寧老師親自教授及擔任藝術指導。目前團員年紀從五歲至十四歲不等﹐共二十多人。彈的
中國樂器有二胡﹐板胡﹐揚琴﹐古箏﹐蕭﹐笛子﹐嗩吶﹐葫蘆絲等等。所有團員經過蒲玉寧老師耐心及愛心的特別培訓﹐很快即可參加對外演出。每位團員充滿自信
的表現﹐實讓人稱許。希望有興趣學習中國樂器的青少年朋友與我們聯繫﹐更歡迎各工商團體給與支持和鼓勵。讓生活在美國的華裔孩子們﹐有機會接觸和學習中國
傳統樂器﹐將中華文化發揚光大。 |
