Chapter 545 - Fredericksburg, Virginia

Residing within the Fredericksburg Masonic Lodge, mother lodge to our Illustrious Brother George Washington and other heroes and patriots of the American Revolution, Chapter 545 is enriched and entrenched in American history and has a long tradition of good service to carry on.

During the War for Independence, Fredericksburg Freemasonry devoted resources, funding and ninety-four of its own members to the cause of Liberty, to include names such as Washington, Hugh Mercer, George Weedon, William Woodford, Fielding Lewis, Gustavus Wallace, Thomas Posey , Charles Dick and John Julian.

Every one of them gave of their fortune by choosing to raised up both their arms and working tools to this cause and yes, some of them forever laid their working tools down to this end.  Never have these sacrifices been in vain, but we must ever remember.

Therefore as the inheritors of this noble heritage, we will continue to meet our Masonic obligation of assisting others, especially our Armed Forces, while educating our citizens and children through our programs and presentations on Americanism.

This is our mandate, our purpose, and our desire.  Thank you.
