Bridge of Light
National Bridge of Light program objectives: · To cultivate Masonic ideals and Masonic Unity by cooperating through a "Bridge of Light." · To inform Masonic authorities and members, of the services that National Sojourners, a uniquely patriotic military Masonic organization, can provide to Masonry. · To stimulate Masonic Lodge support of patriotic programs developed as a service to the fraternity by National Sojourners. · To stimulate the interest of individual Sojourners to attend and/or affiliate with a Masonic Lodge and other Masonic organizations. To that end, your Chapter BOL Committee will: · Maintain periodic contact, verbal and written, with local Masonic Lodges and other Masonic organizations to ensure understanding of the objectives of National Sojourners and the BOL Program. · Make chapter visits, at least annually, to local Masonic Lodges. · Encourage individual Sojourners to attend additional Masonic meetings, and as a minimum:- Each Sojourner should attend at least one stated meeting of a Blue Lodge annually.- Each Sojourner should attend a presentation of the three Blue Lodge degrees annually.- Each Sojourner should attend the Masonic District events whenever able. · Hold an annual Chapter "Masonic Night" program with Masonic dignitaries as invited guests. · Visit with local Masonic Youth groups. · Where the Grand Jurisdiction permits, furnish degree teams, flag ceremonies and other programs. · Wear Sojourner medals when appearing as a Sojourner at Masonic functions (where not prohibited by Grand Lodge rules). · Include significant local Masonic events in the Chapter Newsletter. · Distribute Chapter Newsletters to local Masonic Lodges/Bodies. · Present, on appropriate occasions, BOL Certificates. · Report effective BOL activities to the National BOL Committee and to the National Secretary ready for publication in The Sojourner. · Develop interesting programs for presentation before Masonic audiences. · Submit the annual BOL report not later than 31 July.
