Script: There are many memories that I will never forget during my time at El Segundo High School. Most of them are good memories that I will cherish forever, but there are also some that are not so good. If I would have to pick a memory it would be our Neurological Disease project in anatomy. We had to write a report about the disease of our choosing. I picked Parkinson’s disease. So on the day of the presentations, I procrastinated and was not ready to present. It was 5 minutes until the end of 4th period and my heart was beating pretty quickly. I thought we had ended our presentations for the period but then suddenly ms. Moody called out my name. My time was up and I didn’t have anything to present. So I got up in front of the class and gave a 30 second speech on my disease. Everyone knew I was not prepared and laughed. I knew I was going to get a failing grade. But to my surprise, I received a B. I was so relieved but at the same time couldn’t believe it. Garrett Bilbey who was in my class also received a B but he had actually prepared and had done the work. It was from then on that I knew I had to stop procrastinating. So the moral of the story is to get things done on time so you don’t make an ass of yourself in front of your class. |
