The FVAA Spartans goal is to create a positive, supportive, and competitive environment to promote interest in the sport of volleyball, provide training in the skills and knowledge of volleyball, and foster the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Practices
Sundays from 3 PM to 5 PM at Council Gym, Fuquay-Varina
Tuesdays from 3 PM to 4:30 PM at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center

Uniforms
Shirt, Shorts (Black), Kneepads, Shoes (lightweight)

TBVL League Team
The FVAA Spartans will participate in the Triangle Boys Volleyball League competing with teams from Cary and Chapel Hill from January through May. Match play will take place on select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Spartans team roster will consist of 8 to 10 boys. The Spartans team fee to participate at this level is estimated to be $150.

Select Tournament/Travel Teams
Some members of the FVAA Spartan Team may be invited to participate on competitive tournament teams that travel out of state on occasional Saturdays from February through May. Additional costs are associated with these opportunities, usually under $50 each per tournament plus travel expenses.

Boy’s East Coast Championship (BECC) Tournament Teams
Some members of the FVAA Spartans Team may be invited to compete in the three-day BECC Tournament during the Memorial Day weekend in Richmond, VA. The cost per player to participate in BECC should be under $100 plus travel expenses.

FVAA Family Membership Fee: $40 F-V resident or $65 non-resident

USAV Medical Release Form
You will be provided with a Medical History and Release form which you need to complete and return to Coach Steve Lympany. Form must be complete and signed by player and Parent/Guardian. (Be careful not to sign both authorization lines.)

Junior Referee Certification
All players are encouraged to take a USAV referee certification clinic at no charge. Check the Carolina Region USAV Website for dates and times.
