Poetry Book

We are looking for young people who want their poems published in a wonderful new book!

Fusion Youth Theatre are creating a poetry book in order to raise money for their next major trip to Japan!

Anyone is welcome to enter, whether you have lots of experience or whether you want to have a go at a poem for the very first time...your topic can be ANYTHING you want it to be, but please make it fairly family friendly.

Depending on the number of applications, some poems may not make it to the final publication, but those who are accpeted will see their poem and their name published in the book.

Please e mail us at fusionyt@gmail.com with your poem, name and age.
We will accept illustrations but bear in mind they may be printed in black and white.

Please have a look at the Excerpts from some of the poems we have received so far!!

Excerpts from recent entries:

Autumn

I smell the fumes from the flames
The smoke looks like dragons
The colourful flames are blue
I taste the sweets, chocolate, yum!

by Amy (6), Oscar (5), Bethany (5)

When Memories Don't Last

Sometimes I’m happy,
Sometimes I smile.
Sometimes I see you,
And it's all worthwhile.

by Gemma (19)

Stop, Look

Stop, look, close your eyes.
Make a wish, make it big.
It’s time for decisions,
It is time to grow up.

by Charli (15)

Because I am Yellow

I put pen to paper,
Can’t think what to write.
All these emotions,
Locked up inside.
So many feelings,
So little time.
Nothing is easy,
Not even this rhyme.
