• Completion of a bore hole (water for washing)
• Installation of a tap (for drinking water)
• Construction of temporary study/dining halls
• Enrolment of all the children in primary school and payment of tuition fees, uniforms, books and stationery
• Installation of electric wiring and fittings and the purchase of a generator
• Funding to cover food and medical costs
• Purchase of beds, mattresses, sheets and mosquito nets
• Purchase of adjoining land and completion of a brick structure to serve as a boys' dormitory
• Funding to cover compensation of director and supporting staff who provide daily care (cooking, washing, cleaning and security at night)
• Purchase of cows ("Chelsea" and "Catalpa") and chickens (for milk and eggs).  Chelsea had a female calf last July.
• Completion of permanent washrooms
• Connection to the main electricity supply
• Improvement of cooking facilities
• Posho-mill (for grinding maize) (income-generating activitiy)

GOALS:

• Purchase of all needed furniture (tables and benches for studying/mealtimes, shelves, cupboards)
• Purchase of a plot of land right next to the Orphanage, with a semi-completed brick structure on it
• Structure to serve as a girls' dormitory, and a study area for the Orphanage and community children
• Purchase of a "tuk-tuk" (3-wheeler) or "matatu" (minivan) which can operate as a taxi/public transport to generate income
• Long-term: Ensure each child completes his/her primary school education and has access to secondary school
