Giant Steps Sydney is a centre of excellence for the creation and implementation of innovative and effective programs for children and young adults with autism. Giant Steps also provides support to families, seeks to improve the understanding of autism in the community and to develop best practice amongst carers and professionals. Giant Steps does not charge fees. Children must only have a diagnoses of autism to enrol. Giant Steps is a registered charity and relies on fundraising to raise approximately 50% of its running costs each year.
The Giant Steps ball is one of the largest charity balls in Sydney, with guest numbers often reaching over 1,000 and Giant Steps' major fundraiser. It is always an evening of glamour, great entertainment and fun. We have lots of surprises planned for our guests with this year's 'a touch of magic' theme. Matt Hollywood will be performing his Las Vegas style comedy illusion show that has to be seen to be believed – www.matthollywood.com We are delighted that Glenn Wheeler from 2GB and Channel 7's The Morning Show is returning as our MC.
