A Well-Kept Littlemore Secret in Need of Exposure

Could you do with something to fill an hour for the children on a Sunday afternoon, a time to which they will really look forward each fortnight?

Would you value a time when you can hand over to someone else for the children to be entertained and stimulated, and even educated without their noticing (!) while you relax a bit with a cup of tea and nice piece of cake?

If so then I strongly recommend you try Fun Church.

It’s a good balance of songs and music for the children to join in with, stories presented in varying ways, sometimes with hand drawn pictures, puppets, props or slide show, followed up with a related craft activity, drinks and cakes for the children and a few more songs to end. It’s held in the village hall where there’s plenty of space for the children to run around and let off steam.

All my five children have loved going these past two or three years and their ages range from one to eight years old. There’s a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and I suspect that facets of the children’s faith have been built up as much by the warmth and gentleness of the Fun Church people as by the content of activities.

Fun Church is a somewhat little-known gem of a resource for children and 4.00pm on a Sunday I find to be a most welcome time when nothing much else is on, there’s no clash with baby nap times and I have plenty of time to get ready! The added bonus is that it’s completely free. Numbers are small so there’s room for more; please do come along one Sunday and see for yourself Fun Church is every second and last Sunday of the month, Village Hall, Railway Lane, Littlemore at 4.00pm. We now have a dedicated Website  www.funchurch.co.uk.
