The car dashboard lights have never been raised on the internet. These can be a good indicator when your car is too cold to function at its efficiency level. You may only get up to 1,000 hours of life out of certain dash bulbs. The location of these bulbs can make it expensive to replace. There are several indicators you can look out for to make sure that your bulbs are in good condition.
Most modern cars have a display located between the driver and passenger. This normally displays the time/date and other relevant information. If it has the ability to flash, you can pick up on the bulbs being in bad condition OR cold if they are blurred. Precise projection onto the monitor shows that they are in good condition. Always check for moisture on the glass as they can rapidly decrease the ability of these bulbs if it is not addressed.
TIP: When buying a new car it is always important to check the bulbs in the car/dash. When the engine warning light comes on, it is known for hoax sellers to remove the bulbs which will then stop the potential customer from seeing that the car is in need of maintenance. A good way to check for Dash Board lights is as soon as you turn on the ignition all bulbs must come on together and switch off instantaneous.
How to deal with Engine Warning Lights
The common problem most new cars have is the engine warning light can be lit over minor problems. Most garages have the facilities to run an electronic test to indicate why it has been lit. If your car has the Engine Warning light on as well as the Battery light, this may indicate that the battery is low when the car is first started and will more than likely be removed once the car has charged it when in motion. Try not to panic if the Engine warning light is on as it does not always mean you have a major fault with your vehicle. Any local garages can identify the problem if not act on it. There is no need to go direct to the Dealer unless the car is under 2 years old and/or under warranty. |
