Development questions belong to all of us! Food security, poverty, inequality, gender relations, ethnicity, development cooperation, globalization, environment, trade agreements, urbanization and the right to a good life are among the key questions to be discussed when building sustainable future for all of us.
Do you want to learn the global perspective to these development issues? Are you fascinated by other cultures? Do you want to do a do a development project work or participate a student excursion?
Development Studies module gives basic understanding on development on national and global level, on different dimensions of sustainable development, multicultural communication skills and development cooperation. Students have a possibility to participate development projects and joint excursions to developing countries.
Development Studies module of 15 ECTS is taught within HAMK, LAMK, Laurea and Metropolia Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS). Studies are open to all degree programme and exchange students of HAMK, LAMK, Laurea and Metropolia UAS. All the courses are available in open studies for everyone interested in development questions.
Development Studies module offers new opportunities at your studies as minor or optional studies and widens your possibilities in the world of work.
