LET’S STITCH
October 8, 2011 10AM – 4PM held at the Liberty Town Arts Workshop
We are pleased to announce what we hope will become an annual Fredericksburg charitable event “Let’s Stitch”. The Fredericksburg Spinners and Weavers Guild, in affiliation with From the Heart Stitchers, will be hosting this all-day event. We will be knitting and crocheting to benefit many local groups including: MICAH, Rappahannock Council for Domestic Violence, Mary Washington Health Care, Fredericksburg Police, RCASA and the Fredericksburg SPCA. There will be ongoing demonstrations throughout the day as well as light refreshments. Bring your friends, mothers, sisters, brothers and join us for a day of fun, fiber and philanthropy!
Here is how it works: · Dig out those skeins of yarn, needles, books, and patterns you aren’t using and drop them off at the guild studio located in
LibertyTown Arts Workshop, 916 Liberty St., Fredericksburg. (clean skeins only please).
· Using one of the patterns found at the link below, or one of your own, start knitting items to bring on Oct. 8th . · Print out a flyer from link below and hang it in a prominent spot around town. · Come and have a great time stitching for a good cause.
