ASK THE AUTHOR

Schools and libraries, Fran Shaff has a free program for your students/patrons.  The "Ask the Author" program allows your students/patrons to ask questions of Mrs. Shaff via e-mail about writing or about the books she has written.

Here is how it works.  Your librarian or teacher contacts Mrs. Shaff and requests a date and time for the "Ask the Author" session.  This may be over an entire day, a half day or for an hour or two.  At the arranged time, students/patrons chat with Mrs. Shaff via e-mail about writing or about any of her books.

Mrs. Shaff has received excellent comments from participating students and teachers regarding her "Ask the Author" program.  Students who had read and studied A PARTNER'S PROMISE commented, "I thought A PARTNER'S PROMISE was a swell book.  It inspired me to chase a goal.  I thought e-mailing Fran Shaff, the author, was a cool experience."  "I think the book A PARTNER'S PROMISE is the best book ever!  Writing to the author was pretty cool."

Teachers who participated in the "Ask the Author" program where the book A PARTNER'S PROMISE was discussed said, "Through this project students were exposed to quality children's literature.  There are countless valuable lessons within the pages of the book ranging from bullying, depression, moral choices and mid-west American history."

For Middle Schools, Fran Shaff recommends THE TRADING GAME, A PARTNER'S PROMISE and LITTLE GREEK GODS for study and discussion in the "Ask the Author" program.

Mrs. Shaff recommends any of her books for High School students.
