Our nation has set aside this particular day (the first Thursday of May) as a special time for us to focus on our opportunity to petition God on behalf of our leaders and those who are in authority over us, as we are instructed to do in 1 Timothy 2:1-2. As you humbly come before the Lord and seek His face on this day, please pray that the above mentioned men and women will be granted divine wisdom, guidance and strength to fulfill their important roles. (If they weren't already on your prayer list, this would be a good time to place these same folks on your personal daily prayer list.) |
