One of the most amazing books I have read lately is this one... What if Hitler wouldn't have died in 44, what if the Third Reich would have extend in the whole of the Europe, what if... Really great book, I recommend it to everyone. 10/10 Dean Koontz: From the Corner of His Eye Another typical Koontz book, about a boy with some special powers, the great evil and the friends, written a typical movie-like style... Maybe this is Why I don't like reading Koontz's books that much, anyway, this was worth reading it, I've spent a few hours with it... 7/10 Sue Townsend: Adrian Mole: The wilderness years I'm usually not the one who fancies these kind of books, but I was boring in a rainy afternoon (rainy... in Cyprus??? You must be joking :) ) so I just started reading it... and I woke up by fully finishing the whole book. Which means it's quite good... sometimes you even feel sorry for poor Mr. Mole.
8.5/10 Richard Knaak: The Kingdom of Shadows (Diablo 3) Diablo (I/II) has always been one of my favorite games, and even today I'm still playing it... (I think I need a computer upgrade... I'd be really happy to play Hellgate London when it'll be out, but I have no Hardware for that...). Anyway, this book is a must for the Diablo fans, but may not be read by someone else. 6/10 I don't think this books needs to be introduced to the public anymore... Just read it and you'll see why. This is just one of the most amazing books in humankind literature. 10/10 One of the main reasons of todays middle east conflict is described in this book very accurately, but also in a very readable form, so that everyone can enjoy this masterpiece, and also learn something from this far side of the world. 10/10 I don't think that there is anyone out there who did not read this book... A very good story, a lot of intrigues, ancient mystery, written in a way that everyone can read it. Of course, we should not forget the huge scandal that followed the book... Anyway, it's worth for a reading.
8/10 Someone who does not know anything about computers might think that everything that is written in this book is true. A computer programmer might get afraid that everything that is written in this book is true... 8/10 Beside the fact that I'm not a huge fan, I really liked this book. Not only, that it's well written, but it's also very realistic, and somehow it really touches what must be touched. 9/10 Peter David: "Spider-Man" The Official Novelization If there wouldn't have been the spider-man comics of my 'childhood' I wouldn't have read this book, but this way I had no choice :) 7/10 This is a very original book, placed in a far future, when the nature took over the earth, humans are going to the moon using big plants or so... I was really amazed while reading it about the great imagination of the author. One of the most appreciated SF books I've ever had the chance to read. 8.5/10 Robert Heinlein: Stranger in a strange land This piece of classical SF is as actual now as it was 50 years ago when written. Wonderfully written, good story, this is a must read for everyone, not only SF fans. I'm still looking for other books of Heinlein... 10/10 | This page contains a short list of a few of the latest books I have read, and here or there some comments about that book. Some spoilers are revealed so don't read if you don't want to :) Also I've put a grade on the book, based on my private opinion. Don't let it influence you. There is absolutely no order in the list of books. |
