Fund raising launch at Manchester Aquatic Centre on Saturday 7^th February 2009.

 

The Friends of Water Polo Trust has now been formed, and we are now ready to open a Bank Account to accept donations.

 

§  We have set a fundraising target set at £250,000.  If we can get to £200k the gift aid will enable us to edge to £250k.

 

§  We are looking for 100 Founding Members to donate £1000 each.  We can offer a package of photograph, certificate, etc for each Founder Member, this can be an individual or a Company.

 

§  We are sourcing range of products to sell such as wrist bands, Save Water Polo T shirts and Union Jack water polo balls.

 

§  Looking at an annual dinner to coincide with a National League weekend.  We have sent letters to Sports Personalities requesting signed shirts, etc to auction.

 

§  Other suggestions include fundraising at Club Level, with tournaments, raffles, etc.

-         The Times

 

Over 2000 people have signed Downing Street petition in the first month.

 

We will be attending a further meeting with David Sparkes on Saturday 21^st February at 1.30pm.
