Fundraising for Art Programs

Since its inception Hamilton Heights has successfully incorporated the arts into its curriculum. Our teachers believe that art helps to create independent, self-confident thinkers.

Classroom teachers have worked independently and with teaching artists and local organizations like the "Children's Art Carnival" to encourage student creativity and provide outlets for self-expression. HHS students take pride in their art work and enjoy using their visual skills to connect the academic and social curriculum.

What Your Support Will Mean to HHS

Our school has been severely affected by education budget cuts which have forced us to eliminate our prized and important art program. Art continues in classrooms thanks to our dedicated teachers but we have lost our Teaching Artists and our partnerships with Children's Arts Carnival and Studio in a School.  Here's what your support can do for our students:

$20  A pack of pastel crayons for one student
$50  Construction paper for one HHS classroom
$100  Twenty scissors for one HHS classroom
$250  One year's worth of art instruction for one student
$500  All supplies for a semester's worth of art in one classroom
$1,000  Monthly salary of a Teaching Artist

Make a contribution of $100 or more and receive our world famous HHS T-shirt as a special gift!
