CO-OP LOCAL CAUSES

We are delighted to announce that the Claygate Co-op has selected the Friends of Capelfield to be one of their three featured local causes for this year, so if you have a Co-op membership card, please nominate us as your chosen local cause, and if you shop at the Co-op but don’t yet have a membership card, please consider joining.

RESULTS OF THE 2019 PATIENT SURVEY

The Friends of Capelfield Surgery is your ‘Patient Participation Group’ for the Practice. A primary function we perform is to promote communication between the Practice and patients in both directions.

Every few years we run a patient survey which gives the Practice valuable feedback on how it is doing, and areas where attention is required. This year, the questionnaire ran throughout February 2019, on-line and with paper copies left on chairs in the waiting room.

You will find a write-up of the survey results on the News & Information tab.

Thanks for taking the time to share your views and experience!

Friends of Capelfield (FoC) is a registered charity and support group with the primary aim of providing a communication link between Capelfield Surgery and its patients. It also raises money to provide items at the surgery that will benefit patients but cannot be met within the, very stretched, NHS Practice budget. All patients of Capelfield Surgery automatically become members of FoC when they register with the Practice. Membership is free and entitles patients to attend any subsidised courses or talks organised by the FoC. Click here to find out more

Since the FoC was formed in 1995 over £150,000 has been raised and spent on a wide range of items to help improve patients' experience, including a water cooler (in waiting room), defibrillators, medical fridges, ECG machine, CCTV, spirometers and new hydraulic couches, as well as the redevelopment of the entrance. Capelfield News is a newsletter produced and distributed by the FoC three times a year. It provides news and information on topical health issues, developments at the surgery and useful features written by the Practice doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Some of the informative features, covering topics such as Dementia and Depression, have been collated and are available to read again on this website. Click here to view

The newsletter is hand delivered to patients on request, available in the surgery waiting room and as an electronic copy on this website. Click here to view and/or register for hand delivery or to receive a copy via email.
