This Storyline tells the story of the beginning of the end for clan Tremere. It touches the secrets of their creation and of their doom, but also the consequences for other Kindred of what happens to House Tremere. From the RPG Book World of Darkness 2nd Ed., the biggest earthquake known to modern Europe, in 1755, was caused by Spanish Tremere, envious of their Portuguese brethren. In BYOS Lisbon: 1999, it is revealed the quake was indeed a ritual performed to destroy a traitorous Chantry, creating an example for other rebellious chantries. However, the ritual went horribly wrong, and the Tremere casting it was lost to a state that no one could understand to this night. The destruction caused was manyfold the one originally intended and caused ripples through mortal and Kindred world alike. In the eve of the last chapters of Gehenna, the caster of the massive cataclysm awakes to a new world. His name is Claudio Severino and he comes back with knowledge and powers that are not meant to exist. After traveling alone from Vienna back to Spain, several Kindred cross Severino's path. Many others seek him - some to destroy him, others to find out what he knows; some to save the Tremere, others to annihilate them. Others seek him to become like him. Indestructible. |
