Meet the band.

Frenzy Covers Band hail from Cambridgeshire and were formed in early 2008. The band members have all been friends for many years and have worked together on various projects in the past. Their live music experience and familiarity of each other’s musicianship is the backbone to their tight performances and versatility of musical styles.

Frenzy Covers Band started by developing a set of songs to play rarely heard on the pub circuit by choosing modern songs to cover. The philosophy being that there are indeed many talented songwriters around today whose music is just as popular as the older classics. There are of course some older classics that can't be ignored. The public warmed to the band from the offset and they have been gaining momentum ever since.

Frenzy Covers Band have become the most popular covers act in Cambridgeshire and are peoples first choice for parties and weddings. Their friendly on stage presence and lively delivery have enthralled audiences who in turn have provided them with great referrals spreading the band wider across the country.

The band members are considered 'natural musicians' because of their fantastic ability to listen then repeat their part of a song without the need for studying the written music. This shared talent enables then to reproduce songs in the same way as they are heard on the record with incredible attention to detail.

 

Robin the front man and singer for Frenzy Covers Band has a distinct and versatile vocal style. Likened to Stereophinic's singer Kelly Jones his style ranges from soft and pure to edgy and powerful. Add this to his distinct look and larger than life stage presence you begin to understand just why he is totally the man for the job.

 

Robert is the bands lead guitarist. His ability to quickly repeat complex solo song parts is astonishing. Robert has played in many groups and cut his musical teeth on rock n roll.

Jason plays many roles in the band. As well as being the bands rhythm guitarist and keyboard player he is also band leader dealing with the day to day organisation of the band. His skills on both guitar and keyboards enable the group to have a greater diversity over the types of artists they can reproduce and adds dynamic to the bands performances.

 

Richard (brother of Robert) is the bands bass player. His skill as a musician and bassist means he produces solid and rhythmic bass lines that power the music’s rhythms and styles making them irresistibly danceable. Richards’s enthusiasm for live music has been with him from when he first played rock n roll as a lead guitarist and remains with him today.

 

Anthony (Ant) is the drummer of the band. A multi talented musician Ant has great understanding of music and production which comes from his skills as a guitarist also. Ant's solid drumming style holds the band together tightly and creates those detailed nuances’ that make rhythms really work and people want to dance.
