    Lost a form or the kit list - no worries - I've been good and attached them at the bottom of our page.
    We're heading off there at the end of this week - don't forget to get your fancy dress costumes for the Saturday and Sunday night times.
     
    Ideas for costumes: Some are going to Primark for the giant babygrows to get the pig babygrow or Army or similar outfits to be Superpig etc.
    We have giant foil bags on offer - see Skip on Thursday (19th May) to get one or get details on how to get one.
     
    Not booked yet? - well you have until Wednesday to get your payment of £65 in and get all your forms back.
    This Thursday parents and Scouts are getting the equipment out and loading it for transporting it Thursday night and Friday. More details will follow this week in an email - email Sunday sent so please check it.

    This is a Devon mini- Jamboree - they do not happen often so don't miss out.
     
    When is it?  
     
    The Devon Scout and Explorer mini Jamboree at the end of May 2011.
     
    So far £48,000 has been invested in the event.
     
    Below are some of the activities - all of which are included in the price.
    This is our BIG camp of the year; it is four days of camping and amazing activities and
    experiences.
    The activities on offer are listed below and I am sure it will develop further.

    1. Free dodgems (large set 24 cars) + VIP riders open to all!!! 7pm to 1am in conjunction with stage / disco music / lights/ fog / snow and bubbles….what a mess!!!

    16x Wheelbarrow Activities:
    These are mainly things to make, eat, do, lasting approx 30-60 minutes each, ideas include:
    • Dream catchers string from natural resources
    • Trangier popcorn giant mosaic painting
    • Chocolate fruit spoon carving, whittle a tent-peg etc
    • Giant bubbles sandwich on a stick
    • Plaster of Paris mouldings (could do hands or feet)
    • Alternative woggles (with beads, character faces & googly eyes, collage…)
    • Tie Dye T-shirts (needs lots of water!)
    • Fimo clay base (need access to low temp oven 30 mins at 130’C for firing)
    • Super-hero T-shirts (with fabric paint – needs access to an iron)
    • Clay beads (fired in a large baked bean can full of sawdust, on the edge of a camp-fire)
    • WIND CHIMES
    • STOGY PIES
    WHERE HEALTH AND SAFTEY PERMITS WE WILL KEEP LARGER EVENTS OPEN UNTIL 10 PM WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DISCO AND DODGEMS WHICH WILL RUN ‘TIL 1AM...................GREAT !!!
     
     
    How much? – well all in it will be £65 – transport is up to individuals. We cannot do this any cheaper at another time. 4 days/3nights all inclusive. Bicton College grounds is the venue . What are you waiting for?
     
    So far £48K has been spent on the camp by Devon Scout County.
      
    Are you up for the time of your life?  If YES, then you need to contact Skip ASAP. We have very limited places. A £15 deposit is needed by 3rd February if a cheque, or 8th February if cash. We have to have cheques (made payable to '1st Fremington Air Scouts') cleared before we send our cheque off. If received by 3rd Feb you also get a free Run 2 The Fun T-shirt, if the 8th we cannot guarantee this from the organisers. 
     
    Scouts and Explorers from all across Devon are going - just a few places now available as there is a restriction on numbers. Some places are still available - you have until Wednesday to book, get your payment in and your completed forms - some forms are below.
