How simple is that?
Great result for a fourth year running!!
1st Fremington Air Scouts on Saturday 13th June 2009 became the North Devon District 5-a-side champions.
The team was looking a little short with initially only 4 players at the start of the afternoon, but then with last minute arrangements two extra Fremington players were found, and they were all cracking players.
The team consisted of Luke C, Daniel S, Freddie S, Peter W, Ollie P and Cameron. Well done to them all for all their hard work and determination, especially one was injured earlier in the week and another was poorly, but got the team to the semi-finals playing 50th A, whilst the other semi-finalists Tawstock and 1st North Devon battled.
In the final, Fremington faced 1st North Devon and both teams played extremely well. One of the 1st North Devon Scouts really did keep determined as he was injured in the last half, but still kept played - well done to that young man.
Well done to all the organisers, referees, leaders and supporters for their dedication.

1st Fremington Air Scouts take to the air.
Some of the 1st Fremington Air Scouts during the weekend 5th- 7th June worked along some other Scouts across the County to gain some aeroplane experience.
They learnt how to read and record the weather, recognise cloud types, reading flight maps, writing flight plans, reading aeroplane instrument panels, to marshall air craft at aerodromes, airports and air fields, plus flight navigation.
The LAA pilots of the Devon Strut were on hand to train our Scouts to a standard where all were able to gain their badges, awards and chance to navigate a flight and also fly.
Freddie was our first Scout to take to the air and was able to take the controls after being trained on how the directional stick of an aircraft works and how the plane will respond.
Daniel S and Daniel D also undertook all this training, but unofrtunately the wrong type of cloud came in that weekend and were unable to fly, but they will be taking to the skies very soon. So keep an eye on the skies for them.
