The Masonic Fete and Art Union Raffle not only support the residents of
the Townsville Masonic Village but also charities and benevolent
projects in the district. In the last three years the Masonic Fete
Committee has donated over $26,000 to worthy causes including the Royal
Flying Doctors Service and the Cyclone Larry Appeal. The fete was held at the Masonic Village in August. It was officially opened at midday by the District Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Ian MacKenzie. The fete was a great success with over a thousand visitors buying plants, produce, cakes, crafts and more. At 2pm the Art Union Raffle was drawn with winners recieving prizes including:
