The Globus GridFTP
GUI is a Java web start application. It provides an easy-to-use interface
for connecting to GridFTP servers and transferring files. The GridFTP GUI has the
following features:
Allows you to browse the local file system and transfer files and
directories between the local system and remote GridFTP servers and between
two remote GridFTP servers (third-party transfers). Supports file system operations such as creating, deleting and renaming
files and directories. Provides reliability by interfacing with the Globus Reliable File
Transfer (RFT) service.
Prerequisites: Supported Platforms: The GUI provides two ways for generating a proxy credential required for the data
transfer: Creating a proxy credential using a locally stored key pair. Obtaining a proxy from a MyProxy Server. For more information about MyProxy,
please visit: http://myproxy.ncsa.uiuc.edu/.
A demo of using the GridFTP GUI is available here.
Open the file ending in .htm with any browser with the Flash plugin to start the Flash demo -
then just click the green arrows to progress through each screen. |

微軟終於推出與Google Documents類似的功能

不過我用過之後有很多地方是Google最欠缺的
例如
Google文件有100K的大小限制 微軟的則是最大可上載 25 MB 大小的文件
微軟的自有產品整合性高 可以與既有的Office套裝緊密整合
Office Live Workspace 的工作區提供 500 MB 的儲存空間 如果Google可以有效整合GMail的話 會更好 你想想6G耶
Office Live Workspace提供版本控管 不是普通的版本控管 可以細部到內文內容逐行比隊喔 這點Google[ 是糟了
大缺點就是 Office Live Workspace 限制在IE瀏覽器上使用 我想用Linux的人就可惜了
希望Google可以趕緊追上來 100K的文件 基本上是什麼事情也不能做

- source providers (RPs) focus on providing substantial communities with on-demand access to computing and storage. TeraGrid, Open Science Grid, campus grids, and the likes of Amazon EC2 and S3 fit in this space.
- Service providers (SPs) use either dedicated resources or RP-provided resources to provide services to communities. Certificate authorities, Globus Reliable File Transfer service, and Amazon Simple Queue service are examples of hosted services.
- Content providers (CPs) deliver
application-specific content (data, software, etc.) to communities,
using either dedicated or RP-/SP-provided resources and services. A
TeraGrid "science gateway" is an example of a content provider that
builds on resources and services provided by a third party.

We are happy to announce the release of next stable version of CoG JGlobus.
Version 1.5.0 of the software is available for download from http://dev.globus.org/wiki/CoG_JGlobus_1.5.0.
The release includes many bug fixes and improvements since the last official
version. Some of the new features include:
- Support for signing policy enforcement during certificate validation.
- RFC 3820 complaint proxy supported by default. All legacy proxy types
continue to be supported.
- Authorization mechanism that defaults to self authorization if host authorization
fails.
- Better support for GridFTP servers with multiple DNS entries
- GridFTP API support for pipelining. A performance improvement for the "Lots
of Small Files" problem.
- Support for retrieving the last GridFTP reply (useful for finding the
contents of the initial reply from the server)
The release follows the recently established CoG JGlobus Release guidelines
(http://dev.globus.org/wiki/CoG_jglobus/Release_Process)
and includes CoG JGlobus Feature Extensions.

注意!!
GT4.2.0 contains an upgrade to the web services specifications
used by the toolkit as well as new features in all services. New users
are encouraged to use the 4.2.0 release. However, because of the
specification upgrade the webservices are incompatible with the 4.0.x
series. Existing 4.0.7 users may wish to evaluate the new software while
maintaining their existing installations.
所以本版本在 web services上是無法相容 4.0.x系列的版本.
