Priests of the Archdiocese of Denver live the liberating call of Jesus to follow him as his priests.  The joyful sacrifice of their lives brings the message of Jesus Christ to the people of northern Colorado.  Jesus cries out to all: "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live!" (John 11:25). A priest is empowered by Christ to overcome death, sin, and despair through the power of the sacraments and the message of the Gospel, the message of life, forgiveness, and hope.

Priests find meaning and profound personal fulfillment in bringing the living presence of Jesus Christ to God's people through the sacraments, through preaching, and the sacrifice of his life.  In and through the ministry of priests the people of God have contact with the living and enduring love of the Father.  As "father" of his parish family the priest is called to be a visible witness of the very holiness of God the Father in his radical commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
