Disclosure
To minimize the surprise factors after the university "last day to drop" date, here are a few things that may help you make good class registration decisions.
My English is not going to improve anytime soon.
If you can not understand it the first time, the chance is zero that my English will improve for the rest of the semester.
I do not publish homework nor exam solutions.
Instead, students are encouraged to discuss issues and doubts in canvas discussion groups. Please refer to discussion group posting for your consideration.
I give ABCDF grades only, no plus or minus.
For those of you who needs A+, B+ or C+ to get scholarship or avoid probation, sorry I don't do that. On the other hand, if you add a little effort to become A- or B-, you get a bonus ride.
I have a peculiar "NFL challenge" rule on exam scores.
Exam scores can be challenged. However, I'll re-grade the "entire paper" (not just one particular problem). If TA or I made mistakes, I'll gladly correct it and apologize. If there is no mistake, the student pays a penalty (e.g. lost a timeout).
Please review student evaluations from previous semesters.
It is published at student feedback from previous classes
That's all I can think of for now.
