- The discography strictly distinguishes between data contained in other discographies that were falsified or through a comprehensive analysis were considered as incorrect - in those cases the "Remarks" column contains wordings like "in X incorrectly", "missing in Y" - and data that notwithstanding attempts of clarification persisted controversial. In those cases there was no alternative to reproducing the conflicting data; the respective cell only shows my personal opinion on which data are more plausible. Such controversial data can be identified by the use of wordings like "according to X", "not figuring in Y" in the "Remarks" column.
- Grey cells indicate missing or critical data (as dubious data, uncertain data or data that - although they were considered as correct - require positive verification).
- Apart from some special cases (see particularly the matrices 2289 and 2290 recorded on 20/04/1924) the chronological order corresponds to the order of matrix numbers. Because of the large amount of missing matrix numbers the ATLANTA recordings are ordered by catalog number.
- The works are listed in ascending order; numbers with decimal places indicate that there are two ore more takes ("tomas") of one and the same work.
E.g. "0106.2" for the second take of the work "EL HUERFANO".
- To avoid misunderstanding, matrices that are incorrectly listed in Lefcovich’s Canaro and Charlo discographies were not simply omitted but striked through.
- To facilitate search, titles in Spanish do not contain accents, punctuation and quotation marks (but contain the ñ, cedillas, umlauts, hyphens and apostrophes).
E.g. "9 DE JULIO", "CHANGÜI", "LA GARÇONNIERE", "LA PIBA DEL TA-BA-RIS", "MAÑANA", "PORQUÉ!" → "PORQUE", "S. O. S." → "S O S", "TALÁN… TALÁN…" → "TALAN TALAN".
- In contrast, titles in other languages contain accents.
E.g. "BUENOS AIRES C'EST ÉPATANT".
- The "Creators" column contains the authors (of the words), composers and arrangers of a work. The following abbreviations were used: A (Author), AR (Arranger), C (Composer), CA (Composer/Author - No data available). Errors on labels or in discographies about the creators of a work were corrected and missing data were added, all that in general without mentioning.
- In the "Label" column, the date "ODEON" without specification indicates exclusively Disco Nacional, Disco Nacional-Odeón and Odeón Argentina records. For records published by establishments of the Odeon record company in other countries, the respective country is indicated by its ISO 3166 country code (e. g. "ODEON (BR)", "ODEON (CL)" or "ODEON (PE)"). Such records were listed only if the respective matrix was exclusively published abroad.
- The consulted discographies of Francisco Canaro do not say which side of the record (for ODEON records: A or B) contains the track. These data therefore may be missing. The labels of the ATLANTA and TELE-PHONE records and of the records belonging to the COLUMBIA T-series (1920) do not contain such data.
- When it remained unclear which of several takes ("tomas") were released the catalog number was listed in each row and the cells were highlighted grey.
