The Best Laid Plans is a film that is loosely based on John Steinbeck's novella of Mice and Men. The protagonists are two teenage girls, Lena and Ginger and we meet them during their first year in college, as opposed to two migrant farmers in the 1920s. The two main characters have a relationship similar to that of Lenny and George in the sense that Lena always relies on Ginger. Unfortunately, when Lena tries to handle a relatively simple situation on her own, they are both forced to deal with a serious situation that has tragic consequences.
