Francesca Anderegg is
quickly establishing a name for herself as one of America's
finest young interpreters of the music of our time. A versatile
musician, Ms. Anderegg is equally at home as a soloist, orchestral
violinist and
chamber music artist. She made her New York debut in February 2007, performing the Ligeti
Violin
Concerto with the Juilliard Orchestra under the baton of Diego
Masson.
The New York Times lauded her performance for its "dark,
mournful tone"
and
"virtuosic panache." This season's
highlights include chamber music with Itzhak Perlman, performances of
the music of Elliott Carter, and collaborations with Pierre Boulez and
the Lucerne Festival. Latest News: Francesca appears in the April 2nd edition of the New York Times A review of Francesca's performance with renowned flutist and Juilliard faculty member Carol Wincenc can be found at http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/02/arts/music/02carol.html?scp=1&sq=francesca%20anderegg&st=cse.
