Unit 3 Test Review-Electronics and Interfacing

 

1.  Basic electronic circuits (power source, conductor, load)

     -give examples of each

 

2.  Ohms law calculations (remember the Ohm’s Law Triangle)

 

3.  Resistors (what are they)

 

4.  Breadboards (I might give a diagram for you to tell me how the rows/columns are connected electrically)

 

5.  Know units of measurement for voltage (volts) current (amperes) and resistance (ohms) and be able to define them

 

6.  Know about LED's (anode [+] and cathode [-])

 

7.  Know what diodes are (allow current to flow in only one direction)
 
8.  Parallel vs. Series Circuits
      -how they affect voltage and current
      -batteries and resistors in series

Turing Test this Thursday (April 15, 2010)

The test will cover Chapters 4-8 of the Turing Textbook.  It consists of:
 
Multiple Choice
True/False
Fill in the Blanks
Short Answer
Write a short Program
 
Review for the test will be this Wednesday at the beginning of class.

TEJ3M1 Electronics Labs 2-8 are Due by Friday April 16th, 2010

All labs (2-8) from the lab book must be complete and shown to me for marking by the end of class this Friday.  No more class time will be given to work on these labs.
