I wanted to have a part of my site be a wiki-style public notebook where I can easily put up smaller tidbits and notes on story ideas and characters I don't have a place for elsewhere in the main site.  Unfortunately, having a wiki that you can easily edit means that someone else can do the same and wreck havoc to your precious data, and quite possibly swap all the images and links to something that could get you into the sexual predators list.  Because of such an incident (where fortunately, I didn't have to register for anything that would haunt me forever) I had to remove the wiki from the web site.

But here is a new Google Sites service where you can easily set up a Wiki that is not only easier to work with, but is a lot more secure.  You can control the list of people who collaborate/edit these pages (I'll make it a note just to let me have the honors and nobody else) and since the editing accounts are all registered to Google, there's a less of a chance that some nefarious character being egged on by a troll site can come around and deface what someone worked so hard to build and nurture.

Once the web site is set up and this site gets a link, I'll be able to start filling in this Notebook with the little scraps and tidbits I have floating around my slush pile.  Maybe some of them would even get their own pages in the site one day.
