We are a small group of like-minded people raising awareness and money for The Horseheads Animal Shelter. Known as the "Small Shelter With The Big Heart". It is a small, but efficiently operated shelter. It is the temporary home to a dozen or so dogs and just as many cats at any one time. The animal control officer in charge is Frank Rosplock who oversees operations along with two part time employees.

The Friends Of The Horseheads Animal Shelter (FOTHAS) is a fledgling organization with lofty goals. We already raised some capital for the shelter which was used to purchase Kuranda Dog Beds for each of the kennels. We attended many community events where we offered family activities and games to raise the money. We usually bring along as many of the shelter animals as possible. Everyone loves to interact with them.

With our first fund raiser in the books we are now in the planning stages for Spring and Summer projects. Keep your eyes peeled for lots of exciting and fun filled events for young and old alike.
