Give the Kamps Gas. . . and Kt the runs!

Now that I have your attention, I want to make you aware of a little project I've started.  I want to do something to help out the Kamps.  So. . .

I am raising money to help put a little extra cash in their pockets.  There is going to be a lot of trips to and from hospitals, doctor appointments, grandparent’s houses, etc.  And everyone is feeling the burden of the high gas prices these days.  So let's all help the Kamps by filling up their gas tank.  In return I'm going to run a 5K for each $100 donated.  My goal is 10 - 5k's or just over 32 miles, a huge challenge for me; unfortunately Wyatt's test of endurance is just beginning.

Thank you all for your support!

Wyatt's Story

a website created to keep friends and family updated about our loved one, Wyatt Anthony Kamp

Hi,

My name is Wyatt Kamp. I was born on March 28, 2008. My family is made up of my mommy Eileen, my daddy Tony, and my big brother Eric. Eric is the best big brother ever! He plays cars with me, soccer with me and likes to hold me. I can’t wait until I can really play with him and chase after him.

Friday, August 1st, my whole family and I went in for my 4 month appointment with Dr. Amy. It has been a whirlwind since then for all of us. They found a solid mass in my abdomen and called it Stage 4 Neuroblastoma with the n-myc gene amplified, this is a very high risk cancer. The Dr.’s at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis have now taken the tumor out, but have found that the cancer has spread so we will need to do some Chemotherapy. We are now at the University of Minnesota to do the chomotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplant in the future months. It is going to be a long road, but we are all strong and are going to make it.

We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers and the wonderful things our friends and families have done for us.

Thank you, and Lots of Love,

Eileen, Tony, Eric and Wyatt (The Little Warrior)

Eileen and Kt

Our story starts in college.  We were randomly placed as roommates.  Who knew two such different people could become such good friends.  She has become my sister; her parents and family have made me feel welcome as one of their own.  We have shared so much laughter and some tears.   There has not been one moment that she hasn’t been there for me.  I can’t begin to imagine what she is going through right now.  I want to do everything I can to help her through this rough time.
