Fort Bend Zeta’s are committed to the community and are involved in many capacities. This year we will be supporting the following local charities: Citizens for Animal Protection, The Rainbow Room, and the Fort Bend County Women's Center. In addition, we will be raising funds for the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation and supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®/Race for the Cure®. The ZTA
Foundation is committed to raising funds for educational and philanthropic programs that meet the ever-changing needs of our Fraternity, college campuses and community. The Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is the world's glober leader in the fight against breast cancer.
We raise money and gather necessary items needed to help support women, children, and families in need in our area through fundraising activities such as canned food drives, auctions, and donations.
Our most popular fundraiser every year is our Santa letters. Each letter is personalized for each child, signed by Santa, and mailed from the North Pole! Please see our order form below for additional information such as due and delivery dates for the 2011 holiday season! This year, during the month of October, we will focus all of efforts on raising money for the fight against breast cancer. We will be delivering pink flamingos and a pink ribbon to several yards in Fort Bend. These flamingos will represent the 1 in 8 women that are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Recepients will be able to make a donation to have the flamingos moved to another lucky home owner's yard or to just have them removed.
Also during October we will be participating in Yoplait's Save Lids to Save Lives campaign. Last year we collect over 1,500 lids! We hope to collect even more in 2011! |
