Weekly ARES Net

Forsyth County ARES Net is held every Tuesday at 8 PM on the 147.150+ SMAG repeater .  Any licensed amateur radio operator is encouraged to check in to the net; you do not need to be a member of Forsyth County ARES, or SMAG.

Emergency nets may be called at any time; members are encouraged to monitor the repeater when weather or other emergencies threaten.

In case of repeater failure the net will operate on 146.46 MHz simplex.

For General Class licensees and above, there is a separate Georgia ARES HF net every Sunday at 6 pm at 3.975 MHz.


Monthly Meetings

ARES Meeting: Every 2nd Monday of each month - Cumming Police Station, 301 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Cumming GA 30040 at 7PM. (2 blocks south of courthouse) Map

To join ARES, you simply must attend meetings, and have a valid Amateur Radio Operators License, and appropriate equipment.
