Southall: Take Action!

In September last year, the Ealing Council planning committee voted unanimously to reject Blue NG’s plans to build a biofuel burning power station in Southall. But now Blue NG have launched an appeal to get the decision overturned so they can still build the power station.  For more details see here

There will be a planning enquiry, also known as a public hearing starting on Tuesday 9th of March and lasting up to six days.  The decision as to whether to allow the power station will be decided on at the enquiry.  Members of the public can speak at the enquiry so please do come along and show your opposition to the power station.

Take Action!

Protest Outside Ealing Town Hall from 9am on Tuesday 9th March.

Then go in and watch the enquiry.

Be there to show your opposition as the planning inspector as he goes in.  Bring yourself, your friends and family, banners and placards.

At 10am of 9th March the Planning Enquiry will begin.  Show your concern by coming in to view the enquiry when you can over the following week.    It may take up to six days and if so will take place on Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th, Friday 12th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th March.  Come along and bear witness by watching when you can.

Speak at the Public Enquiry!

If you live in Ealing, and especially if you live in Southall, the power station will affect your quality of life.  Any other member of the public (including you) can speak against the power station at the public enquiry. If you speak it is very unlikely you will be asked questions or cross examined.

The public enquiry starts on Tuesday 9th March at 10am and may last for up to six days.
