Research Interests

As an evolutionary ecologist I have many interests, but most revolve around understanding how novel ecological conditions driven by anthropogenic change influence
phenotypic expression in birds.  Currently, my students and I are addressing a number of questions relating to avian habitat decisions and how climate and land-use change as well as management decisions are influencing where birds reside.

More generally I am in
terested in:
  • Life history evolution
  • Avian ecology
  • Behavioral ecology
  • Physiological ecology
  • Conservation biology
  • Adaptive management
