Folks Against Strokes

Support Stroke Research

You can make a difference.

Every 45 seconds, someone in America has a stroke. As the third leading cause of death and the leading cause of disability in the United States, stroke research remains disproportionately underfunded, despite many promising scientific opportunities that could advance the fight against these diseases. You can help make a difference by supporting stroke research at the University of Wisconsin.

Folks Against Strokes
is a community of stroke survivors, friends and family dedicated to increasing awareness of stroke and to supporting stroke research at the University of Wisconsin Health Comprehensive Stroke Program. We organize events and raise funds to support research efforts to decrease the burden of death and disability from stroke and to increase the quality of life for stroke survivors. Get involved today.

Every dollar counts.
Contributions to the Stroke Research Fund will support the research efforts conducted by the University of Wisconsin Department of Neurology. Gifts can be made in someone’s memory or in honor of a particular individual.
