Fogadd was originally established through sporting and educational links between the trustees with the Grahamstown area of South Africa.
Professor Christopher Megone, Chairman of Trustees
Chris Megone is a Professor of interdisciplinary ethics at the University of Leeds and originally spent time in Grahamstown in 1996 as the Hugh Le May Research Fellow at Rhodes University. He returned in 2001-02 for a year long sabbatical and also organised two cricket tours to South Africa. Chris is married to Debbie, another trustee and has three children including Helen who was born in South Africa.
Alison Evans
Alison is a chartered tax adviser and is married to Philip who played on one of the South Afican cricket tours. She has three children, Simon, Benjamin and Emily.
Christopher Iley, Treasurer
Chris Iley is another keen cricketer and played on both the tours. He currently runs a hedge fund and has worked in senior financial positions in Europe and the Far East. He is married to Jackie and has two children.
Michael Johnson
Mike is an investment banker who has worked at major banks in New York and London. He now runs his own corporate finance boutique. He also played on both the cricket tours and is married to Suzanne and has three children.
Anne Kelly
Anne is a paediatric consultant at St James' hospital in Leeds and spent three months in Grahamstown at Settlers' Hospital as her elective in 1986. She is married to Peter who also worked at Settlers' and has four children.
Charlotte Kerley
Charlotte studied at Leeds University and after graduation spent six months in Grahamstown in 2006 teaching at a private school and undertaking voluntary work. She had also spent a few months on an exchange with a school in Grahamstown when she was a teenager. She is now working for Marks & Spencer.
Martin Lamb, Secretary
Martin is a lecturer in the education department at the University of Leeds and has worked in Indonesia, Sweden and Bulgaria teaching English as a Foreign Language. He played on the two cricket tours to South Africa. Martin is married to Imelda and has two daughters.
Christopher Law
Chris Law is head of Economics and Business Studies at the Grammar School at Leeds and is also a chartered accountant. He came on the cricket tours as scorer and subsequently visited the Megones in South Africa. Chris is married to Sandra and has twin sons.
Cai Mallett
Cai runs her own business offering cycle tours and cycle hire and is also a qualified accountant. She came with her family and visited the Megones when they were staying in Grahamstown. Cai is married to Simon and has four children.
Debbie Megone
Debbie has worked in corporate finance for many years. She is married to Chris and has three children. Whilst they were in Grahamstown she became Treasurer of Child and Family Welfare, one of the charities supported by FOGADD.
Penelope Robinson
Penelope is a lecturer at the University of Leeds in the Department of Education. Her sister lives in South Africa and she has a long standing interest in educational issues in the developing world,
