Since 1980, the Florida Native Plant Society has built a coalition of educators, naturalists, botanist and other scientists, land managers, home gardeners - people from all walks of life who love Florida. whether year-round or seasonal residents, our members share a passion for the state's beauty, as exemplified by Florida's native plants and diverse habitats, as well as the wildlife these plants and habitats support.
 
The Pawpaw Chapter meets on the first Wednesday of each month at James St Youth Activity Center. This is off Big Tree Rd in South Daytona between Nova Rd and US 1. Doors open at 6:30, meeting begins at 7 pm. Each month the Chapter hosts a guest speaker with topics ranging from identifying native and invasive plants, water conservation, landscaping,planting for wildlife, and botany. The program begins at 7:00pm with refreshments and business meeting following.
