Tips to help your child succeed in ELA J
1. Encourage them to do some reading every night. Read with them if you have the time!
2. Ask them about the story/book. Can they tell you what it is about? Are they enjoying it?
3. Ask them to re-aloud a writing assignment before they turn it in. They may pick up on some mistakes after sharing it with you.
4. Ask them to share a project with you before they turn it in. Are they proud of it?
5. Ask them about new vocabulary words they are learning and try to incorporate them in daily conversations.
