North Country Books

Pritt - Thomas Evan Pritt wrote the classic work Yorkshire Trout Flies in 1885 and it was reprinted the next year as North Country Flies. The book has eleven color plates illustrating 62 patterns, along with a list of the materials needed to tie them and the time of year to fish them. This list of patterns includes the Dark Snipe (or Snipe and Purple), the Waterhen Bloa, and the Little Black. Pritt, who was the angling editor of the Yorkshire Post, noted that some of these patterns came from earlier angling authors such as Ronalds, Jackson and Theakston.  http://www.archive.org/details/northcountryflie00pritrich

Edmonds + Lee - Harfield H. Edmonds and Norman N. Lee were the authors of Brook and River Trouting which was published in 1916. It was a small edition with a number of deluxe copies that included a matching set of flies. The standard copy was reprinted in 1980 in an edition of 1,000. It's plates include photographs of the completed flies and all the materials that are needed to tie them. There are 36 patterns in all, including the Partridge and Orange and the Partridge and Yellow.  http://www.archive.org/details/brookrivertrouti00edmorich
