Ms. Sunny J.
Head Instructor
I have been practicing the martial arts since 1993. On October 6, 2001, after eight years of diligent work, I achieved the rank of black belt in Kenpo Karate. I began teaching the Martial Arts in 1995. I volunteered as an instructor for five years during which I taught all levels and ages of students. In 1999, I worked as the Head Instructor and Manager of the karate school where I trained. At the time we had over 200 active students. After earning my Black Belt in 2001, I took a four-year hiatus from karate while I attended college. I earned an Associate’s Degree in Flight Technology and a Bachelor’s in Business Management. Currently, I am working on a Master's in Adult Education and Training at Colorado State University. In September 2005, I established Flying Tiger Self Defense. The basic curriculum we teach is based on the Kenpo Karate style I learned, however, all martial arts concepts are welcome. My goal and desire is to share my knowledge of the martial arts with others.
