All fire alarm systems our required by BS 5839 Part-1 2008 to be both maintained and tested on a regular basis.
The recognised standard of compliance is to keep a record via a log book of all points tested and any remedial work carried out. The time scale for these tests should be weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
Our involvement would normally be the quarterly and annual test where reports on the condition would be issued. We can also put together a log book and information on the system. This would act as evidence that everything is being done to ensure the system is working correct.
In addition to testing we also offer an installation service which covers both extensions and alteration to an existing system or new installations. As always all work can be carried out at the most convenient time for the client ensuring minimal disruption.
All fire alarm work is carried out in accordance with British Standard 5839 Part-1 2008
Please note that Flying Sparks is not responsible for the certification of the design or installation of existing systems.
