Erin & Mike's Wedding
Welcome to bio! Like most other knotties, I started saving pictures, but didn't save the sources, so if you see a picture that belongs to you, let me know and I'll post the picture credit. Thanks for looking!
About Us
Mike and I met in June of 2004, and started dating a month later. I was born and raised in Tampa, while Mike was born in Tampa, but split his time over the years between Tampa and Pensacola. I'm finishing up my Child Development degree, while Mike works full time at AT&T Mobility and goes to school also.
Mike's Proposal
Mike surprised me just before Christmas of 2007, by wrapping about 20 different boxes within each other, and my ring was in the smallest box. It was so sweet and thoughtful, and a total surprise!
Engagement Ring
My ring is a 1.25ct tw, 3 stone, princess cut setting with channel set diamonds on each side. I couldn't decide between princess and round cut, so Mike did the best he could to get me both! I love it!
Colors
Our colors began as Tiffany Blue, black and bright white, but eventually I began integrating red into the color scheme. I think its so pretty together, and not many people use this combination.
Monograms
Our monograms were made by WCF Knottie Savannah6783. I love them!!
Bridal Party
Maid of Honor - Danielle, my best friend.
Bridesmaid - Morgan, Mike's oldest step-sister.
Best man - Jeff, Mike's younger brother.
Groomsman - Evan, my older brother.
Stationery
I love these two Save the Dates! I think we're going with the first one though.
I love these place cards...
These Reserved signs (from BriDesigner's bio)...
And these from Shawana143's bio...
And the patterns on this one...
These programs (minus the green date)
Envelope Seals...
Mike and I went to look at invitations, and because we're having a smaller wedding, we just couldn't justify spending hundreds of dollars on invitations. I went to Michael's one day and found some amazing DIY invitations that I love from Brides Magazine. I basically paid $2 per invitation, and I can customize them on my own.
Signage
I created some directional signage for the wedding day, so everyone knows where to go. My reception sign still needs some work.
I'm also hoping to have hanging letters on the doors. So far I've only painted the M.
I LOVE the sign below! I'm hoping to have a few signs like this around, with a theme of love.

Attire
My wedding dress is from Demetrios in Tampa. I love it! The dress code is CR195.
My Veil
I'll be wearing my mom's mantilla veil for the ceremony. As soon as the ceremony is over, I'm going to take it off and clip the cloth flower in my hair.
My Shoes
I'm wearing these red shoes and I'm so excited! I got my shoes from Target, and they're so comfy. (The bottom picture is the same shoes from 4MileLove's wedding day, taken by Jason Angelini.)

Cake Idea
This is the one and only cake I've fallen in love with. Obviously I love ladybugs, so this cake is absolutely perfect! The only thing I want to change is to make the cake blue, instead of just white (credit Martha Stewart Weddings).
I'd also like to have some cupcakes integrated somewhere in our wedding, whether it's at the rehearsal dinner, or just sitting around the wedding cake!
Just for fun, here's some more aqua and red cakes!
Flowers
I haven't decided on any specific flowers, but here's some ideas that I really like.
I really like the ribbon and wrapping on this bouquet.
I love the pin on the bouquet below... I'd like to do something similar with one of my grandfather's work pins and one of my grandmothers costume jewelry pins.
Ceremony Decor
I love pomander decorations lining the aisle, so I'm hoping to DIY my own. I'd like red carnation pomanders hanging from aqua ribbon.

I'd also like to have fans available during the ceremony.
Reception Decor
I DIY'ed my table numbers and I DO letters. My inspiration was from knottie PugRolls bio. I used pictures of my own Pugs instead!

Dress: Demetrios Bridal, Tampa A+
I've read mixed reviews on the board about Demetrios, but I've had nothing but a GREAT experience. I went in on a whim because the store is next to my jeweler, just to see what they had, and get started on my "bridal experience." They had a great selection (I was not looking for anything specific or intricate), and being in the store was the first time I really felt like a bride. I ended up trying on about 20 dresses and my sales lady was great. She listened to what I wanted, and picked dresses that were good for my body shape. I had originally picked a Sposabella gown, filled out the paperwork, and was putting the deposit down, when I spotted a dress in the window that I wanted to try on. They were great about taking it down so I could try it on, and that is the dress I ended up buying. They gave me a $250 alteration for free also. They were flexible with payments, and they let my MOH pick up my gown without a headache. I'd highly recommend Demetrios to anyone!
