Welcome to my webpage! I am a Professor of Economics (Professeur des Univesités) at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, Associate Professor at the Paris School of Economics and  and Research Affiliate of the CEPR (Centre for Economic Policy Research), London.

I moved to Paris joining the HEC Paris Business School in Sept. 2007 after having held a three-year Prize Research Fellowship at Oxford University (Nuffield College), and a Visiting Fellow position at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, MA.

I got my PhD at the European University Institute in Florence in 2004, and my thesis received the Rotary Europa Prize for the best thesis defended in the 2003-2007 interval. I have also visited the University of California at Berkeley, the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics, the European Central Bank and the Bank of England.  Follow the links at the left if you want to see a detailed CV, or know more about my research and teaching.
