STOP PRESS - a RC Laser Associaton loan boat is now available. Want to borrow it? - go to the Loan Boat page to find out how.

Fleetwood RC Lasers were formed when Fleetwood MYPB Club decided to adopt the RC Lasers as one of its classes to be raced within the club. Some members and one or two others who had previously been racing RC Lasers at Carnforth formed the nucleus and the fleet was born! Fred Charnley was elected as the first Fleetwood RC Laser Fleet Captain. Fred has now handed on the baton to Colin Hartley.

We are proud to be part of Fleetwood MYPB Club, one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in the country. We enjoy the use of an fine clubhouse and first class sailing on a pupose built model yachting lake. Want to join us and aren't already a member of Fleetwood MYPB Club? Come down to the lake on any day we are racing or follow this link to the main Fleetwood MYPB Club site. Not sure when we are racing? See this link.

RC Laser August TT

News

Sunday 12th September. That's the end of Summer. (Chistmas cards in the shops soon!).  Our Autumn Series starts today - usual time of 11am .

CHANGE OF DATE We have been informed that the Fleetwood triathlon is taking place on Sunday 26th September (I'm sure that many of you will be competing). The effect for us is that access to the promenade will be restricted until 13:30 and we might have difficulty getting down to the Club. Therefore it has been decided to cancel RC Laser racing on 26th September and the Club's Committee has agreed that it can be moved to the day before - Saturday 25th September. Please update your diary.

Sunday 3rd October - Northern District Championship. Closing date for entries 26th September - email Colin. See Open Events page for details. If you missed the TT in August don't miss this!

Fleetwood Annual Club Dinner - Friday 19th November at 19:00.  A three course meal will be at Fleetwood Golf Club - price £14.00.  A chance to meet friends old and new.

Association boat.  Thanks to Fred Charnley we have the long term loan of an Association boat from the main importers (Peterkin) for Fleetwood RC Lasers. Thank you Tom for looking after it on behalf of the RC Laser section. The boat will enable those who are thinking of committing to the class to try before they buy. Details of how to borrow the boat are on the RC Laser Loan Boat page.
